Microfinance Mission: to provide innovative and sustainable access to savings and credit for the poor.

Example: MEDA's Mozambique Microfinance Facility (MMF) in Maputo works to strengthen local microfinance institutions' ability to provide credit services to poor people. Male Yeru, a rural microcredit program, is a MMF client that has been recognized by United Nations for its exceptional performance. One of their clients is Lize Nhaca who owns a fishing enterprise. Loans from Male Yeru have helped her to expand her business which has generated 11 jobs. In addition, she is able to support her extended family and build a new concrete house.
