A Seat at the Table for Youth

Successes and Chalenges in Youth Engagement

The USAID Youth Policy, released in 2012, highlights the importance of integrating youth engagement into all aspects of development, including project design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Engaging youth at all stages helps to build high-impact projects that are more responsive to young people's needs — leading to more sustainable outcomes.

What are some successes and challenges of meaningfully engaging youth as future community leaders and positive agents of change? Join us to hear from specialists and youth representatives from the International Youth Foundation, Mennonite Economic Development Associates, International Planned Parenthood Federation, and Chemonics as they share their experiences and lessons learned. This discussion will highlight the key role of engaging youth and show why it's important that young people have a seat at the table in global development.
