Haiti | Pathways to a Better Life

CLM project woman in marketAs the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and with over 50% of the population living on less than $1 per day, Haiti continues to struggle to recover from the 2010 earthquake that propelled it into crisis. In terms of the situation for women in Haiti, poverty and violence against women are serious issues further exacerbated by the systemic gender-based discrimination that has existed for decades. Steps toward ensuring the plight of Haitian women is heard are being taken – and MEDA is playing a role.

Nigeria | Youth Entrepreneurship and Women's Empowerment (WAY)
